Run to the Chicken
Run to the Chicken is a 5K event held on a Saturday moring in October that the Lambda Xi chapter of Delta Zeta organizes each year. Everyone is encouraged to participate including runners, walkers, pets, and young children; you can even bring your bikes or rollerblades! We are more than excited to see the success of these efforts through our yearly contributions to our philanthropies.

The past October 10, 2009, the 13th annual Run to the Chicken turned out to be an enormous success! Hundreds of people turned out to participate in the exciting festivities. The Lambda Xi chapter was able to contribute generously to its philanthropic organizations from the success of the race and hope to continue the tradition in the future!

For more information about Run to the Chicken and online registration, please visit www.runtothechicken.com. We look forward to seeing you there!

Turtle Tug
We are so excited about our newest philanthropy event, Turtle Tug! Last spring, Delta Zeta hosted the 2nd annual Turtle Tug event in Research Park. Teams of 6 competed in a tug-of-war competition in pudding! Live music, food, and other activities were held as well. This is a great way for our chapter to raise money for our philanthropic organizations while also involving the Texas A&M community. This spring, the 3rd annual Turtle Tug event will be held on March 28, 2010. For more information or to register your team, please contact our Turtle Tug Chair, Caitlyn Jones, at cmajtamublond@neo.tamu.edu. We hope to see your team there!

Adopt-a-Street
The Lambda Xi chapter has adopted University Drive from Wellborn to Texas as an effort to help keep the College Station community clean. A few hours 3 times a semester are dedicated to this environmental beautification project.
